terms of service

General Terms of Service

To provide you with unparalleled service, Third Man Pressing believes these core elements of our business need specific attention to detail to provide the highest quality product in the quickest projected time. When placing an order with your project manager you are agreeing to the conditions listed below.

Privacy and Confidentiality

All information related to your project will be protected under our internal nondisclosure agreement. We will also gladly sign external documents to ensure your confidentiality.

Ordering Process

Your dedicated project manager will guide you through a quoting process before final pricing is agreed upon and your order is set for production. This process normally takes less than a month, based on details being agreed upon in a timely manner.

  1. Minimum order quantity will be based on complexity of the project (size, color profile and packaging) and delivery date (time between order date and desired ship date). Your project manager will make you aware if you can expect a different listening experience based on the color profile and scheme of your final project.
  2. The pricing seen within project planning will not include the price of shipping your finished goods or the cost of shipping components necessary for production (i.e. lacquers, center labels, etc.) This amount can only be estimated and will not be set until the completion of your order. All shipping costs are paid as part of the final invoice.
  3. Orders will not be official until you have submitted to your project manager (1) vinyl mastered audio for cutting lacquers, (2) approved center label artwork on a template supplied by your project manager, (3) signed copyright compliance forms and any requisite mechanical licensing paperwork, and (4) a 50% deposit has been paid. Delay of submission on any of these items may result in a delay of your manufacturing date.

Production Expectations

Your order will be prioritized based on the lead times for materials and its shipping date. Your project manager will provide a detailed timeline to keep the project on track.

  1. Test pressings will be shipped within 10 business days of stampers arriving at Third Man Pressing. Your approval of these test pressings will be needed within 5 business days upon receipt. Delays in acceptance could cause your project completion date to be adjusted.
  2. We will make every effort to accommodate order modifications prior to your order going to production. Details of your order will be locked in upon approval of test pressing. Any changes to order quantity, scope of project, or shipping may incur additional charges that will be communicated by your project manager. All printed materials need to be present at the time your project is scheduled to be pressed.
  3. Your records will pass through both our audio and visual inspections during their production. We scrutinize your project's quality based on the approved test pressings and internal standards for cosmetic defects.

Shipping and Billing

Once your project is complete through final packaging the project manager will be in contact to confirm final shipping information and discuss the balance due. All payments are expected within 30 days.

  1. Shipping will be limited to two addresses; additional addresses will be charged an additional $50 per address, not to exceed three additional addresses for a total of five.
  2. Excess packaging components will be shipped back upon completion of your order. Any additional materials not used for reorders within 3 months of order completion will be properly disposed of at no cost to you.
  3. If there are quality or shipping disputes related to your order, they must be communicated within 10 business days of receipt. Your project manager will work with you to find an agreeable solution.
